^ False warning from lane change assistant (Audi Side Assist). The warning light in the side mirror(s) illuminate when no object is currently in the



monitored area to the sides of the vehicle.



^ No relevant DTC(s) stored in the lane change assistance control unit (address word 3C).

Software fault.



Production Solution



Optimized software.



Service



Replacement of the control unit is not necessary. Warranty claims for control unit replacements without use and application of this TSB will be



debited.



SVM Update Instructions



1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.



2. Check the software version of the lane change assistant (address word 3C). Update the software as needed using the SVM action code listed in



the table above.



Tip: If the software is at the latest version and complaints of false warnings continue it is recommended to calibrate the sensors and verify they



are clean and properly mounted to the vehicle. If problems persist please contact the Audi Technical Assistance Center.
