Condition
On vehicles with an active Sirius satellite radio subscription including the "Best of XM" stations (additional fee), the following may occur:
^ "Best of XM" stations stored in memory are erased from the Presets list after the ignition is cycled.
^ The station name of certain "Best of XM" stations is not displayed in the Channel list, even though the artist or title information is correctly
displayed.
When this condition exists, all satellite radio channels can still be heard. The digital audio stream is not affected.
Technical Background
Upon the merger of Sirius satellite radio and XM satellite radio, Sirius altered the channel lineup to allow Sirius customers access to select "Best of
XM" channels. These channels are generally between channel numbers 195 and 220.
The station data of the "Best of XM" channels is not sent according to previous Sirius specifications and therefore is not correctly interpreted by the
366
radio until a new station list is loaded.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
Modify the station list in the radio by having Sirius temporarily change the subscription type on the account:
1. Obtain the 12-digit satellite tuner ESN.
2. Contact the Sirius dealer support line to have the subscription plan changed to the "Family Friendly" plan. The update will complete in several
minutes.
3. Request for the subscription to be changed back to the package including the "Best of XM" stations. Within several minutes the activation signal
will be sent, and the new channel lineup loaded.
4. Upon reactivation of the "Best of XM" plan, a new channel list is loaded, the station names can be displayed, and the stations can be stored.
