Audi Considers Q5 Cross Cabriolet

As if the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet wasn't enough, someone else just had to go and do it again. Audi, whose brand motto is "leave no niche unfulfilled," is reportedly considering a Q5 CrossCabriolet variant. This is not a bad dream. Audi is seriously looking to build this as a limited-edition halo model. Production would likely be outsourced to a coachbuilder like Magna. It will also feature Quattro all-wheel-drive with both TFSI and TDI gasoline and diesel engine options.

We thought the worst was over when the Pontiac Aztek was discontinued. Then came the Murano CrossCabriolet. Now this. If Audi gives the official green light, it will probably launch sometime in 2012 as an early 2013 model.
