SERVICE
Please promptly report any incident of uncommon or exceptional airbag or pyrotechnic safety belt deployment.
1. Please assemble the following information before placing a call:
^ Customer description of the incident Repair Order containing:
^ Dealer information
^ VIN
^ Mileage
^ Customer information (name, address, phone number)
Current location of the car including a phone number, stock or location number, and person in charge
Digital photographs of any damage to the vehicle, regardless if the damage is from the incident, including:
^ Chassis
^ Suspension
^ Wheels
^ Tires
^ Body
A VAS Tester Diagnosis log, using VEHICLE SELF DIAGNOSIS, of the airbag and engine control units stored in an electronic document format.
The VIN and customer's name are to be included. DO NOT CLEAR ANY FAULT DATA.
^ If an accident had occurred:
^ Digital photographs of the accident scene
^ Police reports
Tip: Based on the above information, we may want to inspect this vehicle.
2. Place call to a GM Engineer.
3. If a customer requests information about airbag or safety belt systems, please advise the customer to call the Customer Care Center.
Tip: We also recommend that you never deliver a vehicle with a deployed airbag or pyrotechnic safety belt to the customer.

The engineer will determine the next course of action. This includes rental or loaner vehicle reimbursement.
