Affected Vehicles
Condition
This RVU has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle:
On Audi A4 Avant vehicles with sliding/tilting sunroof manufactured within a specific period it is possible that the sunroof may be stiff when closing
and therefore reverses its direction.
This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) is in effect until removed. Vehicle must meet all of the following criteria:
^ Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 60A9 code in the ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of repair.
^ Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.

^ Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. Procedure must be performed on applicable
vehicles in dealer inventory prior to sale.

Required Parts and Tools
^ Destroy and properly dispose of removed parts in accordance with local, state and federal/provincial environmental regulations.
^ If you have exhausted your allocated parts and you require additional parts for vehicles affected by this RVU but have exceeded your Upper Order
Limit, please submit your requests for additional parts via email.
^ Be sure to include the affected VINs with your order. Prior to submitting your request, ensure that each vehicle has the 60A9 code open in
ElsaWeb. Your order will be reviewed and processed accordingly.

Re-greasing sunroof (criterion 01}
1. Open sunroof all the way.

2. Using a dry cloth, clean the seals and guide rails to remove dirt and old grease.
3. Grease the following seals with Krytox paste G 052 141 A2:
^ Acoustic seal on panel 1.

^ Outer seal (all around).
^ Seal on panel 2.
4. Grease sunroof mechanism with sunroof grease G 060 751 A2 at points A, B, C and D:

5. Close and open the sunroof 3 times to distribute the grease.
Serviceing drain grommet (criterion 02)
1. Remove rear wheels.
2. Remove rear wheel housing liners (left and right).

3. On the wheel housing (left and right sides), cut back the drain grommets as shown using a sharp knife.
