Condition
Vibration noises from the doors or the rear parcel shelf are heard particularly when the audio system is tuned to heavy bass.
Technical Background
Components on the doors or the parcel shelf vibrate while heavy bass audio is played.

1. Apply fleece adhesive tape D 373125A2 to the areas marked in yellow in Figures 1 - 3. Cover the entire edge indicated by folding the fleece
tape over the edge.
2. Apply special lubricating paste G 052141A2 to the areas shown in blue in Figures 1 - 2.
3. Use the VAS 5155 to apply plastic adhesive D 180KU1A1 to the weld points of the door panel.

4. Apply sections of self-adhesive felt strip 533863288A to the window regulator cables in the areas shown in Figure 6.
5. Apply 2 pieces of sound absorber 4D0831539D in the areas shown in Figure 7.
6. Apply a piece of duct tape to the speaker connector as shown in Figure 8.
Apply the tape in such a way as to isolate any possible vibration from the connector but not so tight that the tape compresses the connector
lock.

7. Apply insulation strip material 8E0831575A to the points of contact between the window regulator cables and the door shell as shown in
Figures 9 - 11.
In some cases (as in Figure 10), two pieces of insulation strip material may need to be bonded together to achieve the proper dampening.

8. Apply sections of fleece adhesive tape D 373125A2 to the tabs of each rear loudspeaker trim. Refer to Figure 12 for locations.
9. Repeat steps 1 - 8 for the other door.
