Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ Vehicle sporadically does not start.
^ When starting the engine, the message "To start the engine press clutch" is not displayed in the instrument cluster.
Only vehicles with manual gearbox and without start-stop system are affected.
Technical Background
Software issue in the vehicle electrical control unit, J519 (address word 09).
Production Solution
Updated software in the vehicle electrical control unit, J519 (address word 09).
Service
1. Follow all instructions in the attached TSB 2011732 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the vehicle electrical control unit (J519) using the SVM action code as listed in the table above if necessary.
