Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ Squeaking or rattling noises from the front axle when driving slowly over uneven roads.
^ After lifting the vehicle, the noise temporarily stops.
^ Only the R8 V10 with Magnetic Ride is affected.
Technical Background
The shock absorber protective pipe may be crooked or not aligned with the shock absorber tube. In some cases, contact is apparent by marks on the
top of the shock absorber.

Service
Align the protective pipe by pressing it sideways so that it is parallel to the shock absorber and has sufficient clearance. Secure the protective pipe.
Tip: It is not necessary to remove or dismantle the suspension strut.
