PRODUCTION SOLUTION
SERVICE
When replacing a tire pressure sensor, prior to submitting a warranty claim ensure there is no damage due to outside influence and that the sensor is
an original Audi part. Claims submitted for aftermarket sensors or for sensors damaged by outside influence will not be reimbursed.
The list below provides some examples of concerns not covered by warranty.
^ Broken valve stems due to seized aftermarket valve stem caps, and valve stems broken due to workshop error by applying lateral force when using
tire inflators and pressure gauges.
^ TPMS sensors broken on the tire machine due to incorrect placement of the wheel on the machine. Refer to the illustrative sticker on the tire
machine for proper placement. Or, refer to the instructional manual for your dealer's tire machine.

^ Contaminated sensors.
^ Sensors broken due to over-tightening of the valve stem collar.
^ Aftermarket TPMS sensors. The sensor shown in Figure 5 is an aftermarket TPMS sensor. It looks much like an original Audi sensor; however,
the Audi part number is not inscribed on the sensor.
Warranty
Warranty will not reimburse TPMS sensor replacements due to damage from outside influences, improper workshop procedures or aftermarket
components.
