Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 09-18 dated September 9, 2009 for reasons listed below.
Affected Vehicles
Condition
^ One door handle touch sensor (Advanced Key) is inoperative.
^ DTC for "Outside Door Handle Touch Sensor - Incorrect Signal" is stored in the access/start authorization control module J518 (address word 05)
for the affected door.
^ In Measured Value Block 43 of the access/start authorization control module J518 (address word 05), the second bit from the right (Hall sensor)
of the affected door handle is always 1.
Technical Background
The magnet is missing from under the door handle cap.

Pull the affected door handle open and check to see if the magnet is installed (Figures 2-4).
If the magnet is missing, install the magnet.
