Condition
^ Advanced key feature does not work for all doors.
^ The lock/unlock feature of the remote key functions properly, and the door lock can still be opened manually with the remote key blade.
^ DTC 03285, 03286, 00192, and/or 00193 (Outside door handle touch sensor short to ground or incorrect signal) may be stored in the Access and
Start Authorization Control Module J393 (address code 05).
Technical Background
Door handle electronics become inoperative.
Tip: If a DTC for any one of the outside door handle touch sensors is permanently entered into the Access and Start Authorization Control Module
J393, the advance key feature will not work for all the doors.
Production Solution
Improved door handle touch sensors.
Service
Using Guided Fault Finding, check the wiring of all door handle touch sensors for which a DTC has been logged in the Access and Star
Authorization Control Module J393 (address code 05).
If there are no problems with the wiring, replace the affected door handle touch sensor(s).
